5 night fly-in Lodge safari

Covering the Magadikgadi Pans and Central Kalahari. Round trip starting and finishing in Maun.

Day 1

You will be met at Maun airport and transferred to Motsentsela Tree Lodge. The lodge accommodates only 18 guests and is situated on a small game farm on the outskirts of Maun, an ideal place to rest and get acclimatised after your long international flight.
The lodge is the “nicest place to stay in Maun” superbly furnished and comfortable with a reputation of serving the best food in town.
Guests can relax and catch up on rest, or take one of the three marked walking trails in search of the numerous bird and animal species present on the farm.

Day 2+ 3

Depart on 40 minute flight to Deception Valley Lodge, situated on the edge of the Central Kalahari Game reserve. The Lodge accommodation is en suite thatched chalets and activities are a fascinating bushman food gathering walk aswell as day and night game drives. The Central Kalahari is unique in scenery aswell as animals. Several species are only found in these areas – including black maned lion and springbok.However, it is the big open skies that blow away most normal city dwellers!

Day 4+ 5

Depart on 20 minute scenic flight to Matopi airstrip where you are met and transferred to Leroo le Tau Lodge set on the edge of the Magadikgadi Pans.
Accommodation is in luxury tents set on raised decks with views of the Boteti channel.
Activities include excursions into the Magadikgadi Pans with their unusual landscapes and herds of zebra and wildebeest aswell as flocks of flamingos (wet season only)

Day 6
After breakfast ,depart on 1 and ½ hour road transfer back to Maun.
